About this event
Come to the workshop on the basics of marine radar, radio and weather. The public is welcome. Learn how to operate these two vital pieces of equipment with confidence. It will focus on Radar operation and tuning. For marine radio, we will focus on proper selection of marine channels as well as transmit and receive etiquette. We will also have a short presentation on NW weather patterns. These topics will be particularly helpful for new boaters and the First Mates and Crew who may need to utilize marine equipment in an emergency. Registration is not required but an RSVP would be helpful for planning and set-up.
We encourage Members and their guests to stay for our evening Chowder event staring at 5 PM.
